Child Care Subsidy (CCS) |
The Australian Government introduced a new change to the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to make early learning more accessible for families.
Families who are eligible for CCS can receive:
At least 3 days of subsidised child care each fortnight (72 hours) even if parents are not working, studying, or volunteering.
This means more children can attend early learning and more families can access support.
✔ Makes child care more affordable
✔ Supports children’s learning and development
✔ Helps with social skills and school readiness
✔ Gives families flexibility and peace of mind
Yes! Some families may still be eligible for up to 100 hours per fortnight depending on work, study, or other approved circumstances.
Every CCS-eligible child can now access at least three days of subsidised care each fortnight — no activity test required.
